Finding peace?

Psalm 4. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผโค๏ธ

๐Ÿ‘‘ David did not trust in his own strength, nor that of his mighty warriors (ever heard of “the 3” and “the 30” from 2 Samuel 23? Whew!).

David needed the Lord. Only the Lord could protect him. David could sleep in peace at night only because of God’s grace and provision. Not his own strength nor the protection of his mighty fighting men, only in God did David put his trust.

Do you feel the same? Is God all that you need?

My friends, the truth is that bad things still do happen. Just because David chose to rely upon God didn’t mean that life was perfect and every night he slept in safety. Sometimes his prayers came from caves hiding in fear of his life.

No, this kind of trust in the Lord is resolving that no matter what, no matter if tomorrow doesn’t come, or if things don’t work out the way that we hope, that all is in God’s hands. Capable hands.๐Ÿ™Œ

Trust and faith.

Say it.

When we cannot feel it, just say it. Again and again and again. God was faithful then. He is faithful now. He will be faithful tomorrow.

Read Psalm 4 and find that very encouragement today.
