I can’t wait to share this novella with you.

A Journaled Love Story is a collection of letters and journal entries between Jeannette and Stanley Hargreaves, giving a deeper look into their relationship and the backstory behind A Father’s Dream, along with a small glimpse into Penny’s story in An Echo of Courage.

The story is set during the years of the American Civil War and the time surrounding Lincoln’s assassination—such a fascinating and sobering moment in history to research and write about.

But something else kept tugging at my heart while writing this.

History books are filled with the stories of great men doing big things. Yet every one of those men had a wife, a mother, a sister, or a daughter who loved them, encouraged them, supported them, and prayed for them. Those voices are rarely written down, but they mattered then—and they still matter now.

That idea became very important to me as I wrote this novella… and you’ll see more of it in my next book coming later this year. 😉

I laughed a little, cried a lot, and poured a piece of my heart into this story. I hope you love Jeannette and Stanley as much as I do.
