Happy Fall . . . my favorite time of year. 🍁 🍃
It’s hard to believe that October is almost over. Here in the Pacific Northwest, it just gets more and more beautiful. The trees are bright yellow and red, leaves all over the place. The dogs drag in those helicopter things from the maple trees that hurt when you step on them. And pine needles everywhere!
But as the snow level appears and then continues to lower on the foothills, the days get shorter and colder and darker. But, for now, it’s still my favorite time of year.
Read on for two important updates: about my new book coming out in December AND a special project I was blessed to be a part of with over ninety other authors.
Love and hugs on this beautiful October day,
Heidi Ennis
An Echo of Courage
An update
I have less than a week to get this final document off to my sweet editor, Audra Gerber. She will work her magic and fix all my missing words, misspelled words, and strange formatting problems. Bless her. 😇
My cousin, the amazing computer artist, is working away at the cover.
Seriously though, how hard would it be to create a piece of art from my ramblings of all the chaos, characters, and scenes in my head. I mean he hasn’t read the book. He listens to my ramblings and always asks about the feeling behind the story. What the characters are going through and what’s my (as the author) feeling that I’m trying to portray through the story.
The feeling in An Echo of Courage is hope. When God doesn’t heal, there is still hope.
God does heal, He can heal, but He doesn’t always. Not always in this life at least.
The one promise that He does give us is that He will never leave us. We never walk this life alone. In fact, He sends others to help along the way.
That’s An Echo of Courage.
Even the river cannot wash away God’s call to courage.
1885, Columbia River: A wolf. A runaway. A broken man. Three lives entwined in a fight for hope, love, and survival.
Available on my birthday, December 18, 2025.
Exciting news
Friends, are you looking for your next read?
Or are you looking for a Christmas present for the reader in your life? 🤔
Are you super picky on your book choices? Or should you be? Ooofffff 😑
Because, seriously, who needs all the gross stuff the world throws at us? We filter through that junk all day, coming from every angle. Social media, streaming shows, movies, etc. All day. Every day.
But what if there was a list of Faith-based books available out there? I wonder.
Look no further for your next read, my friends.
I’m blessed to be part of a project with over ninety other indie, small press, and traditionally published authors whose books are listed here. Faith-based and junk-free. 👏🏼
A Father’s Dream made the cut. 🙂
Enjoy. 😊

Congratulations on your next PNW story…and the inclusion of A Father’s Dream in the faith-based book recommendations. This story is next up on my Kindle! Blessings!
Aw thanks for letting me know. I just recently added Healing Hearts to my TBR list too. It’s always fun to connect with another HF author. xoxo
Congratulations to you!
Thank you friend! Xoxo
Im so excited. Can’t wait.
Aww thank you. xoxo
