The Word of God

I was struck by this post recently.

A friend and I were talking about how amazing it that every time we open God’s Word, we learn a new thing.

Anyone else?

Some time ago, I re-read Job (that’s not an easy book to read- geez) but a verse stuck with me then. And since that day, the Lord has helped me build my newest novel around it.

I took that verse to a friend who has studied the Bible for many decades, and she, too, had never noticed it nor understood the meaning. We were both amazed at what the Lord had done for me.

I’ll share that verse another time 😉. But the point is that God walks with us as we read His Word, and He reveals new things every time like a loving father.

It is truly a gift. The Bible is His gift to us. It is alive because He is alive and He speaks through it.

Have you had a similar encounter?

  1. I have been feasting of the Word of Life for over forty years and am still amazed at how much learning is still accomplished with in its Hollowed pages Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

    • So true. It’s interesting that verse in Hebrews about Gods word being alive has a new meaning for me! What’s so cool is the writer of Hebrews would not have had the whole Bible either! Wow.

      Have a beautiful day friend
