Well, it’s been two weeks since Amazon sent me that “your book is live” email. These two weeks have been a whirlwind and not because Oprah called for an interview but because of life; Thanksgiving and eating way too much; my son coming home from college (!!!); decorating and Christmas tree hunting . . . all the good stuff. Right?
But hey, if you know Oprah, actually can tell her not to call me? I can barely talk to my family about my book and story. Could you imagine me preparing for an interview like that? Sheesh. But maybe she’s retired anyway. Good for her. š
I am thankful for you all that support me and encourage me as a writer. Thank you for buying my book and sticking with me through this process. Thank you for caring about me as a storyteller. I’m just a self-published writer from little ole Buckley, Washington. I cannot compete with the big publishing companies that have and will continue to control the world of books. But that’s okay, Amazon allowed me to do something that I never dreamed I would be able to do: put my stories into your hands and mine! So cool! And I’m thankful for that.
I’m going to use this “news & thoughts” page on my website to share updates on my book as well as random and “useful” facts with you all. I’m looking forward to sharing interesting things about the Columbia River and the people that have always lived here. Also, I proudly possess some “fascinating” (possibly only to me, but I don’t know) and little-known Lewis and Clark facts that I am dying to share as well.
So, stick around.
Thanks again.
